End-to-end fibre for serious business traffic
NBN Enterprise Ethernet is a dedicated fibre service from your premises back to the NBN fibre access node. It is built to carrier Ethernet standards (MEF CE 2.0) and designed for organisations that have outgrown standard business internet.
We deliver Enterprise Ethernet as a fully managed retail service: from site qualification and fibre build coordination through to installation, monitoring and ongoing support. You deal with one Australian team, not a chain of wholesalers.
Enterprise Ethernet is available across most of the NBN fixed-line footprint, and at selected fixed wireless and satellite premises. We confirm availability at your address before any order proceeds.
10 Mbps to 1 Gbps: upload matches download
Unlike typical business internet, Enterprise Ethernet offers symmetrical speeds from 10 Mbps through to 1 Gbps. That matters when you run cloud backups, video conferencing, VoIP, or any application that needs serious upload capacity as well as download.
In metro areas, speeds are available in 10 Mbps increments up to 1 Gbps. Regional sites can access symmetrical speeds up to 100 Mbps; higher speeds in regional areas are subject to capacity confirmation at your location.
On the 1 Gbps tier, the maximum committed symmetrical rate is approximately 972 Mbps due to NBN technical limits on the access layer.
Up to four services on a single connection
Enterprise Ethernet supports multi-service access: you can run between one and four distinct services over the same fibre link. That might include dedicated internet, a private WAN between sites, and business voice, all sharing one physical connection to the NBN.
Which services you can combine depends on the class of service you choose (see below). We help you design the right mix for your sites and manage the handoff at the network termination unit (NTU) on your premises.
NBN installs a business terminating device (BTD) to terminate the fibre. We provide the managed NTU and deliver a standard Ethernet handoff at the NTU port for your router or our managed router service.
High vs Low class of service
Enterprise Ethernet lets you choose how your bandwidth is committed. Pick the class of service that matches how critical each application is.
Guaranteed symmetrical speed
Traffic is delivered at a committed rate with a 1:1 peak-to-committed ratio (PIR:CIR). Your ordered speed is guaranteed on the access, ideal for real-time applications such as VoIP, video conferencing, trading platforms and any workload where consistency matters.
Best-effort delivery
Bandwidth is provided on a best-effort basis using excess information rate only. Suitable for non-critical traffic such as general web browsing or background sync where occasional contention is acceptable.
High CoS supports the full range of business services over your fibre link. Low CoS supports dedicated internet and private network services on a best-effort traffic class. We will recommend the right class of service when we qualify your site.
Every site needs a dedicated fibre build
Enterprise Ethernet is deployed on demand: there is no “already on net” availability. Every new service requires an NBN fibre build to your premises. We manage qualification, feasibility and build coordination on your behalf.
Build complexity falls into three categories:
- Category A - straightforward build Fibre build details are confirmed immediately when we qualify your address.
- Category B - desktop feasibility NBN completes a desktop assessment, typically within 3–5 business days.
- Category C - complex feasibility NBN completes a detailed assessment, typically within four weeks.
Fibre build contributions and feasibility charges may apply for Category B and C sites. We explain all requirements upfront when we qualify your location.

Every NBN Enterprise Ethernet service we deliver includes premium network assurance as standard. You get the reliability large organisations expect, backed by measurable commitments.
NBN Premium Assurance 12 (24×7) is included on every Enterprise Ethernet service. Enhanced assurance levels (Premium Assurance 4, 6 and 8) are available if your organisation needs tighter fault-response targets.
